Rudy Howard

Raised by three generations of labor workers, Rudy M. Howard Jr. has always known the importance of an honest day’s work, education, and service to his community. He previously worked in the auto industry before leaving to pursue his passion as a teacher and an educator.
He learned his passion for service from his family. He has always strived to use the blessings that he has received in life to serve others.

Education
Rudy wants Michigan public schools to be the envy of the world. We can do this by making data-driven decisions and taking politics out of the classroom.
Workers’ Rights
We need an economy that prioritizes working-class people and works for everyone. Rudy will champion collective bargaining rights and fight for funding so working people can rebuild our crumbling infrastructure.
Community Care
Our seniors need access to good healthcare, affordable prescriptions, safe, reliable public transportation, and strong community services. Rudy will work to ensure they’re taken care of as our population ages.
